Head of Employee Planning

Keith Kotfica serves as the senior vice president and head of Employee Planning and leads the teams that interact directly with participants in our Workplace business, including the financial advisors in our Engagement Center and the strategists who deliver comprehensive communication and education programs to our Plan Sponsors. He first joined EFE in 2014 to 2019 and rejoined the firm in 2022.

Keith’s 30+ year career has been focused on improving the financial well-being and retirement readiness of workers across large and small companies and government organizations. At EFE, he has helped to grow the firm’s industry leading workplace advice solution, today serving more than 10 million 401(k) participants and $1.5 trillion in retirement assets at leading employers.

Keith previously held leadership positions at HealthEquity leading partnership and client relationship management teams, Xerox HR & Outsourcing Solutions (now Conduent), and CitiStreet (now Voya).

Additionally, Keith is an Advisory Board Member of the Pension Action Center which is part of the Gerontology Institute at UMass Boston and focuses on the experience of participants in retirement plans throughout its work.

Keith holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Baruch College and an MBA from Babson College.
